Thank you to everyone who supported and downloaded the Nissan 24 Heures du Mans Spotter Guide during the past couple of weeks.
Despite an attempt of a competitor to produce a rival guide (which ultimately failed to be released!) we broke all records on SpotterGuides.com for total number of downloads in a single day, before AND then during the race, beating our total 2012 downloads before the race and increasing our downloads by 20% at time of publication.
The biggest, most detailed Spotter Guide produced, the 2013 edition of the 24 Heures du Mans, sponsored by Nissan, is now online to download. Version 1 of the guide is available for those travelling to the event for Scrutineering. The guide will then be updated early next week, so pop back them if you don’t leave for a few days.
The Nissan 24 Heures du Mans Spotter Guide is bigger than ever with an extra resource page with circuit map, current WEC points, timetable and useful links. On the main guide pages, we have the usual car and team info, including Tyres, Fuel, Class and Engine. New for 2013 are FIA/ACO Driver Grading icons and Le Mans garage numbers.
I was approached by CJ Wilson Racing earlier this year to design a unique crash helmet for Ohio State University student and Mazda MX-5 racer, Patrick Gallagher.
Working with the teams PR Guru, Declan Brennan, we decided to create a unique replica of the current OSU College Football helmet With some subtle colour breaks giving the impression of a different appearance around the base and a mock chin guard the helmet, painted by Censport Graphics looks amazing. The one-off Battlefield 4 livery, which I designed for Electronic Arts and Team WRT Audi at the 24 Hours of Nurburgring is now being retained for the Silverstone round of the Blancpain series this weekend after it quickly proved a crowd favourite online.
In addition, the team’s 2nd car will also promote Battlefield 4 with different coloured striping. I think thats classed as a success!
Last month I was commissioned by Electronic Arts to create a one-off Battlefield 4 livery for the Belgian Team WRT Audi R8 LMS which will compete at the forthcoming Nurburgring 24Hours.
I had previously worked with Edward Sandstrom and EA Exec Patrick Soderlund on the Team Need for Speed programme, so it was cool to get another chance to create an EA Livery.
Existing client, Tyler McQuarrie Racing launched their updated Cheverolet Camaro at this weeks Formula Drift event. The team also announced INDYCAR Stat, JR Hildebrand will also compete in select rounds in the later half of the season.
I designed the liveries of these cars, an update from the previous season with revised branding from Hankook and Mobil and coloration. JR’s car will have reversed colours on the front end.
After my successful Jenson Button Pit Crew Spotter Guide a couple of years ago, we had to bring the Pit Crew Guide up to date following Lewis’ exploits in the Malaysian Grand Prix where he confused his old team, McLaren with Mercedes GP.
We had over 37000 downloads just on Facebook with over 205 Shares in 36 hours!

Scion works team, Papadakis Racing reached out to Andy recently to update the livery of their Scion tC Formula Drift car, which he originally designed back in 2011.
The car has minimal updates and has retained the original Team Need for Speed livery even though the organization bailed out of motorsport. Shows how a good striking livery can have more impact and longevity than the brand! Continue Reading
This awesome video of the Saudi Falcons exploits at the recent Dubai 24Hrs has been produced by the Awesome Group, based in Dubai. RadioLeMans John Hindhaugh and Paul Truswell provide added flavour.
The video has been a huge hit, featured on many sites around the world including Drive ensuring more exposure for the team and of course the unique livery

I have been fortunate to work with TAG Heuer Eyewear and current ALMS GTE Champion, Tommy Milner on a new helmet design which takes elements of the TAG Heuer brand to Tommy’s helmet.
Working closely with TAG Heuer’s eyewear division in the US, I created a design which emphasizes the high end look of their products while retaining Tommy’s classic ‘Scallops’ and graphic elements. I used the ‘simple’ TAG Heuer shield which is normally seen on watch straps and eyewear arms as a graphic device. Continue Reading
My latest client, CJ Wilson Racing hired me, while at Sebring to capture their fleet of Mazda MX-5 racecars in the first two rounds of the Playboy Mazda MX5 Cup. CJ Wilson, best known as a pitcher fo the Los Angeles Angels in the Major League Baseball Series runs a large team across two series with plans to expand into endurance racing in the future. It was a great weekend for the team with Elliott Skeer taking the win in Round 2 on the last lap.
The Spotter Guide series for 2013 is now in full swing! We started the season with the 24 Hours of Dubai, followed by the first of our endurance guides, the Official American Le Mans Series Guide, which is updated prior to each race.
Nissan have also become a partner and their support has allowed me to create the World Endurance and European Le Mans Series Guides which will be released next week. Continue Reading
Following the success of the 2010 Nurburgring 24 Hours Team Need for Speed BMW Z4, Minichamps have now launched the 2011 Edition which was driven by Tommy Milner, Edward Sandstrom and Claudia Hurtgen.
The car features the Poly mesh graphic from a video game model which made its debut at the Dubai 24Hours earlier this year. Unfortunately, this wasn’t reflective on the model!

I was lucky to be invited to Dubai for the recent 24 Hours by the Saudi Falcons team, whom I’d worked with on a number of liveries. CrankandPiston.com, the biggest automotive blog in the Middle East followed the team closely and produced a team feature. I was lucky enough to be included as a member of the team for the weekend. 2012 ST Team Champions, Bimmerworld will return to the Continental Tires Sports Car Challenge this year. Two of the three cars will feature my liveries, which have been updated for 2013, while I work with the team on their forthcoming BMW F30 3 series racecar.
First round takes place this weekend as support to the Rolex 24Hours at Daytona. Wishing the team the best of luck.
The Saudi Falcons BMW Z4 GT3 took to the track this week in Dubai for the 24Hours. Run with Schubert Motorsports, the car featured a unique part Chrome livery which worked well in the strong light and sunset of the Middle East.
The cars were expertly wrapped by Christian Dreyer. Schubert had previously campaigned the Team Need for Speed BMW Z4’s with my livery, again, wrapped by Christian.
Thanks to Saudi Falcons, DailySportsCar and Radio Le Mans, a special 24Hr Dubai Spotter Guide is now available to download showing all 82 entries.

With less than a month to go, The Saudi Falcons have revealed their 2013 Dubai 24hour challenger, which will be run by previous winners, Schubert Motorsport. The two car team will feature the chrome and solid green livery which I designed earlier this year.
The arc’s work particularly well on the side of the Z4 although the oversized number panel proved to be a bit of a headache, but we managed to create a design which doesn’t look too busy despite so many sponsors. Continue Reading
